1. When dealing with new drywall, all we need is a clear date stamp showing when the drywall was manufactured. Some offcuts may not show the stamp, so it’s best to save a piece (with the stamp) and put it aside for reference.

2. If you’re removing old drywall from a residential or commercial property, we recommend getting a piece tested to ensure that the drywall you are working with does not contain asbestos.

3. Separating other materials like wood, metal, and plastic from your scrap drywall is the best practice. This helps ensure the materials are all recycled and disposed of separately to reduce as much waste as possible.
